@mikho thanks for all you've done. Please do let us know the takeover timetable. (like around which month will the takeover occur?) I do hope Asia Pacific region nodes will be kept, as we dont have enough of those in the lowend provider.

unixXX file is the only thing that can keep me alive when SHTF and it will be a hot commodity post nuclear winter. I might need hundreds of this for different taste, err distro flavors.
-
@VirMach good luck to you. hopefully the attack doesn't last long

This makes me sad more than you personal stuff. lol :p but seriously, i hope things get better for you(and all of us) this year Im planning on migrating server from AU to SG this year. but before doing that, can you share SG ip address i can test (ping & dl or looking glass) my region ISP network is not the best, so…
-
I tried to checkout, but it seems my ip adress range was block by cloudflare when i was redirected to billing.(see attached) when i used vpn to circumvent this. i got flag as fraudulent. :s I guess god is reminding me idling vps is a sin.
-
Sine you didnt mention you project type & i see that you are a game server hoster, i recommend these options that pays by usage hours / ondemand. I live in indonesia, so these are based on my experience, which may not apply to you. All these still has SG server last i check; * Digital ocean * using as a production server…

If your ISP is permissive with torrent traffic, my go to is qbittorent, with transmission coming second. If your ISP ban/throttle torrent traffic, use transmission docker with built-in vpn . My ISP throttle plain P2P traffic, the docker app with cheap VPN plan helps bypass this. P.S. dont forget to get the supported VPN…

Yeah i did that to. waited a day or two, did not work. may be @SmallWeb can help me with this.
-
Late to the party and the link is dead. So is this testing phase over?

syncthing has been my go to for personal backup. * It is automated, * you can have file revisions (if you remove/edit on 1 device, other device will make a backup of said file). * set it to receive/send only or both, locally(dont use mobile data)/remotely or both. * set the speed limit / limit cpu. * ignore file…

How about simple Chatbots? though it takes time to set up, its better in the long run & more versatile than status page IMO Plus it means less people to hassle you.

Many of us have little choices in ISP ipv6 implementation, & dont have the number to force them to change. Where im from, consumer ISP prefer to use CGNAT than upgrading their network. since its cheaper. And their transit network is crap. FYI this is the best isp locally, so there is no point changing it. Its cheaper and…

@kalepond what do you intent to use it for exactly? Cant you use other ports? NAT VPS are dirt cheap. its worth to get one and learn about it.

BOINC is for the wider public good. Choose projects you like. Low maintenance. Donate computing time for as long as you want. It also earns you a bragging website right.

This thread is getting ridiculously long. 42 * ∞

i guess you did TL;DR. needed some quick and dirty method. i reinstall the OS on weekly basis to test software and find limitations of NAT VPS (I'm new to nat vps) Yup feels like debian to me. I remember sytemd breaks a few things on jessie when it was release, it just takes time to iron out

Agreed. Not everyone who take coding courses become a good coder & vice versa. I know a few friends who took IT courses that has very little knowledge about coding outside their books. They have no passion for coder's self torture. =) hahahaha.....
-
Yeah, old scripts, like the openvpn installer script, dont work with nftables, just tested it. need to change to iptables-legacy I guess it breaks not just UFW, but many of the old scripts that uses iptables.
-
i figured it out, I purge ufw and iptables, then install iptables first then change to iptables-legacy. after that install ufw. ufw seems to works only on iptables-legacy.
-
@WSS I just need something fast for testing. i'm very lazy afterall hahaha..... Also, iptables (iptables-nft) seems not working too. iptables issue maybe? iptables-legacy not working too.

Cant say how many since their ui has a streaming server choices. based on past experience, it works on 80%~90% of the time. I cant accurate say how many times it doesn't work, since i only uses the streaming function when there is show i love. also i watch it on 480p/720p only since my isp is not great their client ui

MrVm SG node works. Thanks @mikho
-
Sweet. thanks xoxo ill try it later on y SG node
-
Its a love-hate relationship. hahaha... If KVM node cost a low as OpenVZ node i would move it all in a heartbeat.
-
there is no debian 9 in the list. Thanks for clarifying @vpsgeek Is there a way to edit post title?
-
hmm... AFAIK there is no firewall running. I might be wrong. but ill try it soon.
-
Lolz. i giv> @chocolateshirt said: Tried that but still closed for some reason. Truth be told im giving up on ssh reverse tunneling for now. but will probably circle back once im interested again. i tried on both internal ip and local host. The FTP is just one of the many things i tried to tunnel. Thanks for the help tho…
