Entirely possible I'm thinking of the OGF. Can always wait and see but I'm pretty sure that's right.
-
I don't work for Virmach but previous answers in the thread to this question have been 'no'.
-
You might do better from an iso as it doesn't need to buffer all the packages, etc....
-
See I would have taken the message as "just be patient" but you do you.
-
and and Virmach spoke to this on the previous page. It's going to slow down your activation - possibly significantly. I quoted it below ( emphasis mine, not his ).
-
and You guys might consider reading the entire thread but especially the first post which describes what you've agreed to.
-
I actually understand this one. They never see the page with the instructions on it because they're following an affiliate link which takes them straight to the final page. So everything looks legit - right website, etc... - they just don't know. The answer is to stop following random affiliate links and buying things you…
-
He's asking for an example aff link like you posted earlier. Pull one from hostloc to show him? EDIT: typo
-
Congratulations? I'm sure you'll be very happy with it? What are you looking for here?
-
> Okay, to be fair, buying through a completely unknown rando affiliate link is probably not a Good Plan (tm) either. You can protect yourself by just not doing this. You truly are equally at fault ( just my opinion ).
-
FWIW, I agree with you. Anyone posting aff links to the sale should have their accounts banned. They are the ones really causing the problem.
-
He's already working on it. I mentioned it to him earlier.
-
One more time?
-
I hope I can do this without starting the whole thing over again. I don't know if the above was directed towards me but if it was, then I sincerely apologize you took my comment as an insult to your intelligence. You seem a reasonable fellow and I believe were trying to do what you felt was the Right Thing (tm).
-
Since I commented earlier that it worked for me, I wanted to add that I was on the 4gig plan.
-
I also am glad to hear this. You're my primary data location for my mother's Plex service. Man, that'd get ugly.
-
Booted the Alma 8.5 iso on my box in Denver to a graphical install just fine just FWIW. Didn't try netboot.xyz.
-
Haven't had a problem so far this weekend. Just logged in and poked around to be sure nothing had changed.
-
8T Tank, yeah. Mirror my 10T from HH off-site in case of problem.
-
I personally would expect this to be okay. It's "requested-adjacent". They needed activation and just included every bit of information they had. ;-)
-
Thanks for this. Picked one up to try it.
-
\o/ Denver is online! Not sure if I need to post my order number or not still for activation so .....8284726201. Double my bandwidth? :-)
-
Just wanted to thank @Mason for bringing it to my attention. I knew it was there but had completely forgotten about it. Makes it so much easier to remember where I left off. :)
-
Has anything been said on whether some of the other locations will come online before it ends?
-
< joke > I think you should let higher end migration specials migrate. You don't charge transfer fees, right? Papa needs to pimp his ride.< /joke >
-
Yeah, not a huge deal. I rebooted an idler today and forgot it doesn't have automatic encryption unlock yet. I'll take care of it when they give up.
-
Didn't think so. Thank you, sir.
-
Is there a way to get a console for a system when billing.virmach.com isn't responding that doesn't require me to have thought ahead and written down the link for that specific server?
-
Errrm, 10G NVME on the 4GB plan? ;-) ( on the website )
-
Little 1's and 0's laying all over the floor. It's a huge mess.
-
The problem with ed25519 is that not everything supports it and it's annoying to have to support two keys.
-
I was just about to type, "Tell that to my Inspiron 2650" when I saw you beat me to it. ;-)
-
yeah, they say one thing and their automated process says something else. You can't take the risk just in case the automated process wins out.
-
Hosthatch does three year deals?
-
Man, this is messy.

I believe Seagate redefined what a megabyte back 20-30 years ago and the rest of the industry followed suit shortly after.
