Out of interest, does AnthonySmith have anything to do with the forum anymore in any form above being a normal user? @Mason @mikho
-
From the looks of it, your problem is that your 80% off coupon for the 2 2GB plans is deducting more than they actually cost, hence it creating a negative (positive) balance. Fix those two lines to deduct the correct amount and it should be fixed?

I will say that the nested virt cost is pretty crazy, 2 EUR per core per month. Meaning 24 EUR per month for the highest VM, nearly double the cost of the server.

I bit the bullet and ordered one, apparently my order requires manual verification. Is this standard practice?

Now back running on trusty OVH, let's see how she peforms :expressionless:
-
With the SRV record trick I'm not expecting any attacks really going forward, but hopefully if it /does/ happen, OVH at least won't block half of my TS server anymore!
-
I'm actually already with you (you may remember last week I opened a ticket regarding TS3 disconnects during flood). We moved off you to Zare since we pretty much both came to the concensus that OVH wasn't going to do anything. Currently moving back since you've informed of this, hopefully good results!
-
OVH as a service is decent, just unfortunately they won't allow me to upgrade my server to 64GB of memory from 32GB without out an entire server change at a very much higher price, this teamed with the 1-2 month reply times unfortunately has made me want to switch.
-
Thanks for the offer mate, but I've managed to get this done now luckily :)
-
Yeah, testing it now, if my OVH node goes 500Mbps solid then it'll cost me 5 EUR or less which I guess is the cheapest I'm going to find.
-
I will check them out, thank you!
-
Yeah, it'd seem so. On 02/12/2019 I received 4 emails in total. [sh91XXX-ovh] OVH: Renewal of your services - sh91XXX-ovh[sh91XXX-ovh] [STATEMENT XXXXX][sh91XXX-ovh] Invoice available in the OVH Control Panel[sh91XXX-ovh] OVH: sh91XXX-ovh - notice of charge for automatic renewal Nothing about cPanel.
-
That is weird... I got no email at all.
-
I'm in the UK, obviously not going to go to court over £25 but will mention that in the ticket so they understand they have ballsed it up. Thanks!
-
I just checked my 'Emails received' section in OVH just to make sure I didn't miss the email, since 2019 I have received FOUR emails. Two notice of automatic renewal, and two invoice available in OVH Control Panel. Nothing about cPanel :/
-
Should be illegal....
-
I realised that I may as well open a ticket anyways, even if it takes a month to get a response. I must say I am mildly surprised they have just increased it out of no where with no form of contact first, especially for such a huge company where I assume a lot of people got their cPanel licenses from in addition to their…

Gonna try this later on tonight, wish me luck. /var/virtualizor about to get rm -rf *.

Switch to Superloop, best routing in Australia and currently 6 months with $20 off :) https://discord.gg/fJgWN7
-
Thanks for that, I'll take a look. Do you think if I delete the Virtualizor stuff and leave virsh itself, that I can continue? Would be nice to not have to reinstall etc :pensive:
-
It's 4 VM's in total and I have been looking at native KVM and virsh but I can't find anywhere that automatic ballooning was actually implemented into it? I'm probably wrong.
-
I've decided that Virtualizor is getting yeeted, do you have any recommendations for a personal VM platform that supports software RAID 0 and fstrim? @AnthonySmith I don't actually use Virtualizor to sell VPS, was just the best thing at the time for the price.
-
They were useful for cheap OVH VPS, that's about it tho.

HostDoc will be closing its doors today and will no longer accept orders for any service moving forward. All payment gateways are now inactive. All clients will be refunded pro-rata and a few refunds have already began being issued. If your refund has not yet been recieved, please open a ticket and be patient, all valid…

It worked for me but using SCSI (for fstrim) - it just wouldn't cut back the qcow2 file sizes unfortunately. Only thing I could think of is the fact I was using mdadm which Proxmox doesn't support.
-
If you could check it'd be appreciated :) - also any particular way to install the balloon drivers?
-
Find a pastebin below, used a better ps command to list processes based on usage. https://pastebin.com/a8218e6u
-
Unfortunately I'm kind of tied into Virtualizor, I have a custom build that let's me use fstrim (so I can keep my qcow2 files small rather than forever growing). Don't know of any other product that yet can do this :( I tried Proxmox but it just flat out didn't work on software raid 0 (it doesn't support software raid).
-
Install CSF/LFD and change SSH port, that's about it.
-
Have placed an order on one of the UK plans, other than my bandwidth limit being wrong and a possible issue with I/O - amazing deal! Hope to stay with you for years to come. EDIT: Both bandwidth and I/O issue fixed already, seriously liking my decision to sign up so far.
